And despite the challenging economic environment in 2009, International Bedding reported that second quarter results were well ahead of budget. This positive trend can be attributed to several factors including the growth of sales and market share with the company’s major retail partners. IB introduced its “Classic Collection” national bedding line at the Winter Las Vegas Market with value price points starting at $199 for a queen set. Most models feature a fully foam encased innerspring support system, premium foam comfort layers and upscale, designer fabrics. Additionally, IB has expanded its Origins specialty bedding line with the new Genesis latex beds and the Luminous visco beds which deliver high retail margins at price points ranging from $799 to $1199.
